300 TD Injection Pump.

Hi All:

Well, after running good for about a two weeks after hard start, it wont fire up. I checked all glowplugs, have a fuel bypass tank, pumped out the air.

So I pulled out one of the injectors and left it connected. When I crank the engine over, no fuel comes out of the injector. Am wondering if this is because the IP is bad? Also, the hand pump leaks fuel alongside cylinder with every stroke.

Any ideas, if what I am doing is a good way to test the IP or can it be anything else?

Thanks.

Hand pump has probably failed and allowing the IP to suck air instead of fuel. Replace lift pump (hand pump)...a cheap and easy fix.
