KKK or Garret turbo? I don't have an EGR valve on the engine but the flange for the oil drain hits the EGR passage that is cast into the exhaust manifold preventing me from removing it.

Garrett turbo
How is the EGR port blocked at the exhaust manifold? On mine it was the lower clamp that had to be removed for access. Then I pushed down on the upper portion of the drain tube and removed it by leaning it towards the right front corner of the car. If it appears to be impossible, I would suspect the bottom portion of the drain tube may not be seated in the grommet correctly.
You might be able to try this: place a worm clamp around the lower tube and with a long screwdriver on the clamp, use a small sledge try to drive the tube downward.
