What is Damper Rack and Pins Info Needed
I have been having a hard time with my old 300TD over the past few weeks, but finally seem to have it all sorted out. (glowplugs,leaky primer pump, bad fuel hoses, retarded IP, smoke, rough idle, wont start, starts, runs fine for two weeks, then wont start. Boy, was ready to have it towed away. But thank goodness with everyones help here, ol faithful has become faithful again?????
Have been reading up on rough idle and this Damper Rack gold and silver pins seems to come up. My idle is fairly smooth now, a few hiccups once in a while, so would like to look into this Damper Rack and adjustments What is it, where do I find it on my 300TD and what are these pins tha should be changed. Any help. Thanx. |

Back of IP, should be a 12mm and the lock nut is 14mm

You need to create a sig with your car info in it, but from looking at your profile, a 1980 model won't have a rack dampner pin. Turbo models only.....
