Primrose Power- Master Plus 405C
Can anyone comment on this product. I read about it on a VW TDI site. Most of the people who used it seemed to like it. The company says 1 quart will treat 750 gallons and will raise cetane levels 3 to 4 points. (link)
I was thinking of doubling the dose because most of the stations in Canada will only guarantee that their diesel is about 40 cetane though claim it is usually at 42 or 43. I would rather it be closer to 50 cetane. You can get 6 quarts delivered for under $75 so it would be cheaper than using PS. (link)

Terrible deal. Too little for too much.

Primrose is supposed to be a good product, never tried it.
If your looking to boost cetane value only, AMSOL cetane booster is the best bang for the buck.

I beg to differ. One quart of Primrose POWER-MASTER PLUS 405c treats 750gals. At the recommended dosage you will achieve a 3 to 4 cetane improvement. You save more in fuel consumption than the product cost. Also the added benefits of moisture dispersant's , rust inhibitors , added lubricity , and acid neutralizers. EXCELLENT Product.

One quart treats 750 gals. 0.016 per gal treat cost. I'd say that's a heck of a deal.

The only issue might be.......this thread is 6 years old and the previous posters may not even be around anymore. In my area of the country, this is akin to arguing with a fence post.

The price is likely not the same either.
