What type of tubing for oil system
What type of tubing will stand up to the high temperature and pressure of the oil system? I'm looking for something in 3/4" Thanks.

Call your local hydraulic hose supply place. They can get you anything. Im fortunate to have a place that is in orlando that has every type of hose and pipe.

Any tubing will stand up. The pressure in less than 60 psi and the temp is probably not over 200 deg. Copper will work but must be supported well with clamps because it tends to work harden and crack if allowed to vibrate too much. Steel or stainless steel will do also. The stainless is slightly more expensive and unless you go to a specialty shop you might have to buy a 20 ft. length. Stainless fittings are also a bit pricey.

High temperature hose from a hydraulic hose supply shop or speed shop will hold up better. Standard power steering hose was really badly deteriorated in my motorhome so I got the high temperature stuff to replace it. I think you'll get around 100 degrees higher rating on the hose.

I'll give the local hydraulic shop a call tomorrow.

You can also check www.mcmaster.com. They have all sorts of tubing (as well as a million other items), with detailed specs for temp and pressure ratings and oil resistance.

McMaster is usually expensive. Go any local hydraulic shop. They can tell you exactly what you need and probably supply all of it right there.
