Mobil1 75-90W synthetic = 90W hypoid gear oil??
Mid job dumb newbie question...doing the rear axle replacement...
Mobil 1 doesnt say 'hypoid' on it...Ive heard of other people using it so im sure its fine, just want to make sure before I commit... thanks, dd

So is Mobil1 75W-90 oil Hypoid gear oil? It doesnt use that verbeage anywhere on the package... dd

As long as it is GL-5 oil, it is hypoid.
