I'm thinking crankcase ventilation hose but that really doesn't go from the valve cover gasket to the turbo intake. The turbo intake comes directly from the air cleaner and the gasket, as far as I know, just sits on the block between the valve cover and the head.

true from 81 up

yes thats true on 81 and newer. 80 and older 300SDs had a hose that goes down into the turbo intake. Crankcase vent hose. That might be enough to tell the dealer. I havent been able to find any parts for it on the internet except for the elbow on the valve cover.

my126benz is correct. on the 80 SD the breather hose does go down to the turbo. mine has it too. it goes from the valve cover to the underside of the air filter box and it also "T's" somewhere in the middle

Yep, that's the dude. I've never been able to find one online. All the online stores show the newer (incorrect) hose.

i would imagine if you have the end angle parts and "T" part that are fine almost any tube, the correect diameter and resistance to oil, could be cut to fit.
