Oooh, not so much with the white diesel! Takes a while to scrub that soot off the back, too.

Anyway, I like the white monochrome look of my car, but that's not why I bought it. I drove a handful of SDs and had it narrowed down to my car and a later model in anthracite with euro lights, but it had more mechanical issues.

Wasn't sure I wanted an all-white car, but I dig it now. Gets a lot of attention. People cannot believe it's a 25 year old car, either. Although with as much attention as it does get, not sure if I'd want my girlfriend or wife driving it around!

Tell you what. If you don't want a free white SD, I'll come get it!!!

Bill

Hardly! I will take it as soon as the owner gets out of the hospital...
I was just wanting to judge the appeal of a white vehicle! I can't tell if I like the color due to all the moss/tree sap all over the car. I really just wanted to know what they looked like clean. and if my BM likes the car, she will drive it. if not... NICE PARTS CAR!

Little tip for all you white car owners, in reguards to cleaning. For years I've had white trucks and cars. When I start a was, I will regularly sacrafice a bottle of westley's bleach white(for white wall tires.) on my whole vehicle. Say good bye to just about any stain, or mark in the paint. It also removes the very common yellowing that a lot of white paints tend to do. I warns of the proper use on the bottle, but I've been using it for years, and it has never hurt anything like paint, or lenses, etc. I tried straight regular bleach, and a few others, but nothing is as effective. Just spray your car down completely, before any water get to the car. Then just wash it normally. I don't ever let it dry on the car, and wash my car sction at a time also. This takes out all risk of having a problem. Maybe it will hurt the paint, but i think over a lot of years, using it really often.
