Differential Cover Sealant.
Hey Guys, Just checking what type of sealant has everyone been using on the 300d differential cover. I tried getting a gasket for it at my local parts store, but no dice.
Thanks

I use a bit of high-temp silicone (red).

No gasket
Silicone seal is the trick. Just about any quality silicone will work -- doesn't need to be hi-temp but those are a very high quality sealer so use it if you've got it.

You would be surprised how warm they can get after a highway run.
You won't get burned by one, but it's warm enough to affect some lower temp silicones. |

I used the black stuff to hide the goop that comes out when tightened.
