Mt SD had oranger guages on that side too and they are original guages, it's probably the way the car is parked for the majority. if the car IS from Florida like they say then that may well be.

oh, and what does september in RI look like? looks alot more like july.

We moved from RI to WA 18 months ago. There are some nice people in RI, but you have to look for them. He obviously isn't one of them. One of the reasons we moved so far away. The pictures were probably taken in September. There are some leaves on the ground and the grass would still be green then. If it's a New England car it probably has some rust along with all the other issues.
