Sorry to hear that. Those bolts are hard enough to access under the best of conditions.
Sears sells broken bolt extractors that might work. They look like a socket; you drive then onto the head, then loosen. Or you might be able to drive a torx bit into the hex. Or you could drill the head off the bolt. Last edited by tangofox007; 02-21-2007 at 04:16 PM. |

what is "autoclaved"? I thought that is what one does to surgical insturments to sterilize them.

Thanks for the bolt out tool idea. Worked like a charm!
Got the balancer out and all the rubber on it has melted/disappeared and its in two pieces now. I'm wondering if dealer is the only place to buy the bolt that I took out and the harmonic balancer? Would also need a water pump pulley. |

#100 is the vibration dampener. #26 is the harmonic balancer
