Window goes boom Help please

Car is a 1979 240D, W123. While traveling on business in Boston, went to roll window down (electric) Window was stuck then a boom but no break (hopeful).

Please let me know what it will take to fix, too cold now will have to tape up window until I can get to it. I have taken door off, just need to know what to expect if the window can come off track.

Please share your sea story.

Thanks Tom

There was another post on here about this same situation i think. It as a rivit that broke causing the window not to go up. if you use the search you should be able to find it. i would say it was in the last month or so.
