Intermittent Heater Control Lights

Car is a 1984 300D- problem is that the heater control buttons lights only work sometimes-when hitting a bump they come on then go off-same thing goes for the rocker switches above them. Is there a ground somewhere for these lights? BTW- all of the switches work either with the lights working or without......
