No power to klima controls '85 D
Bought the car the ac belt was cut off and the fan blower fuse was missing. I replaced the fuse this AM but I get zero lights/power to the controls. Where to start?

The source of power of the lights of the ac pushbutton assy originates at the instrument cluster. If you have lights in the hazard and window switches, then it could just be the bulbs.
Did you check fuse#8 under the hood? |
#8 fuse
I don't know which fuse powers the lights, but the #8 (blower) fuse powers part of the pushbutton controls, according to the electrical diagram, and the blower and aux pump. The #14 fuse supplies part of the pushbutton unit as well as the temp control unit behind the glove box. I would check that "blower fuse" again- it may have popped again when you powered up the system. Check the #14 fuse too. if both are good, check the grounds. The diagram shows G102 for just about everything in the system, but I don't know where it's located.
I haven't had the time or ambition to fix mine yet, but have spent some time going over the electrical diagrams.:) |
Sweet thanks guys.

I checked all the fuses no go. Probably blower issue somewhere else. I did hear the aux water pump pumping so something must be happening.
