Fuel Preheater

I've searched the forum but haven't turned up anything specific. What I'm looking for is a preheater for the fuel supply. Does anyone have recommendations on a prebuilt or plans for a home built? Thanks

Are you converting to vegetable oil or something? A fuel preheater should be unecessary for the proper winter blend of diesel.

No veggie....

It just seems to run better when the fuel is warm (hot summer) and with it colder than normal here (Al) i was looking at toying with it. Got some stuff in the shop I'm going to assemble and see what happens............

I've thought about the same thing, and started that thread about warmer fuel giving better fuel economy. Some say yes, some say no. I think some have suggested that you may get less mileage in winter because of additives in the fuel in winter. Anyway.... **************.com has a little preheater kit that uses a glow plug. I don't know anything about it, but you may want to look at it for ideas/inspiration if nothing else. It didn't seem that expensive even if you just went with the kit. Maybe $60.

check ebay, there is a stock mbz fuel preheater for auction . I've seen a few of them over the last few weeks.
