Coolant Drain Plug/block heater install

Hello,
I was wondering if the coolant drain plug in my 300sd that I undid to drain the coolant from the engine a month back is the same plug I would put a block heater in. The location seems right. I have yet to get under there and check more thoroughly, but its cold under my carport, and would like to spend as little time outside as possible...
THanks,
Ben

No, it is not the same. IIRC the block heater plug is a larger diameter. It is above the starter on the OM617
