Oh yeah, that reminds me, I need to flush my headlamp fluid system, otherwise the calcium build up will clog my reflectors. Might over heat the engine...pshaw

I'm always amazed at how much I can pick up here. Hatterasguy is a real inspiration. I'm going right out to put night air in my tires. Get better mileage.
This would also be a good time to rotate your hubcaps.

I didn't know they sold teleporters too, I saw em in a Sharper Image catalog, had some warp drives too. Wal-Mart's got Black and Decker brand teleporters on sale for $89.98, this week only, they're all by the TVs. I'm gonna pick up one, and see if they've got the gallon jugs of M1 TurboDiesel and some tail light lens grease, can't drive around with dried out tail lights, winter makes it worse!

There was no '83 model Vette, because they were switching from the C3 to the C4 body style. Anyone remember the "Crossfire" emblems?

Too much information!

I'm gonna have to print this entire thread out. There's just too much to take notes on. Many thanks to all!

That's always a good idea to help avoid the dreaded tire air fungus. One time, one of my tires slowed down and soon wouldn't turn over at all. Not even ether would get it going again, so I had to drain the whole tire and refill it.

Tires are most prone to contaminated air when you forget to replace the valve stem cap, but sometimes an air compressor that's sat for a while can get contaminated with the fungus. A bad infestation can sometimes be cured with aerosol fungicide. Don't be tempted to use inexpensive foot spray for athlete's foot; it's not powerful enough. I'd recommend the "BioSpore" product from West Marine (as you might imagine, contaminated tire air is a major problem in boats).

It's also important to replace your tire filters twice a year, which is most easily done when changing from the summer to winter air and vice versa. And remember to use only OEM Mercedes tire valve stem caps. If you have a Euro model, your car may have "tyres" and thus the U.S. style valve caps won't fit.

I had to check out the link.. !

Oh, and don't forget to flush and replace the electrons in the wiring. Eventually they'll give up the ghost and there you'll be.. no spark.

The spark return lines aren't as critical as the spark rotator. I would take care of that first. It will build up magnerious residue in the crank reverser if you don't.

Also, on the tire issue, you have to draw a vacuum on the tire to remove all the old air. Most forget that step.

Yes, and you must use a vacuum pump rated for the type of air in the tire to avoid vacuum pump contamination.... Works just like Freon.......

winter air reclaimer and summer air reclaimer...

And don't forget the tire air oil charge........

If you have waited too long to change the plugs, it will cause your motor to blow up and black smoke will come out of the exhaust. I pay better than most for junk Mercedes Benz 300D's, just call me.
