Toasty smell from my heater

After about 10 minutes of running, I start getting a mild burning smell, almost verging on toasty, coming from the heater in my '85 turbo wagon (300TD). Is it possible that I'm getting a drip of motor oil (my car is fairly leaky) that is invading my heater somehow? Any other known causes of this??

Thanks -harv

I am pretty sure the blower resisters are on the fender on the TD... can you describe the smell with a bit more detail?

Does it smell like burning motor oil? I would be concerned because the heater core itself does not get hot enough to burn anything. It could be an electrical problem. Maybe the blower motor?
