I have a 1983 and I've been meaning to install a pair or two of fog/driving lights on the front bumper. I've seen a few of these cars with classic rectangular or round hella type lights on and I think it looks pretty good. Also, my car could use the extra lighting power. I haven't gone through with this add-on yet because I am very nervous about drilling holes in that nice bumper. My question to you is are there other ways to install these lights? I am willing to do it above or below the bumper. Anyone done this before? I guess if I have to, I'll drill, but I really really don't want to. Thanks for the advice =)

As your car has fog lights in the headlight already, maybe driving lights under the bumber would make sense.

I agree with MB Doc. If you hang them under the bumper, you will not put those ugly holes where they can be seen if you ever want to reverse the modification.

Before you add these lights, I would suggest either sealed beam replacement driving lights, which give you an H4 bulb, or European lights. They would add much more light and not detract from the great looks of the front of the 123 car.

My $0.02,
