E220 Cdi

I have a E220 cdi auto which when I press the brake the reves drop to about 700 rpm and there is a vibration from the engine
I removed the brake switch and the fault only occurs when the switch is opperated and not when the brake pedal is pressed with the switch disconnected

tigy,

I am afraid you are asking the question into the wrong forum.
You see there is no E220 cdi available in america (i wish) and this is a mostly american forum. 99% of the people on this forum have never even seen a E220 engine.

Have a shop test for "soft codes" in the ECM.

Had a gasser Nissan do that. A few wired got nibbled on by a mouse, and an intermittent short was created.

You'll need someone with SDS (MB quality scanner) to do that. OBDII scanners will not read anything but engine codes.
