stange sound from engine bay
I guys, my car developed a strange type of wisteling sound when accelerating, it seems to come from somewhere around the power steering pump, it sounds like a bad bearing sound, and sometimes when i take my foot from the accelerator i hear a "grrrrrr" sound, what gives????

it was the first thing i checked, does the pump have some kind of bearing inside? Poly perhaps

This is sort of like asking if the printer is hooked up at both ends... no offense intended, but I have to ask... are you sure it's not just the turbo spooling up?

Pretty sure, and if i stop the car and rev it the sound is there also, so it's not the wheel bearing!

Intake gasket at the head? Had a gasser V-8 do that. Failing intake gasket was the cause.

Get a friend to give the car a little fuel while you listen outside near the engine with the hood up. Hard to identify location of the noise sometimes from the drivers seat. Or just pull the pump linkage yourself from under the hood.
