Fuel problems

I have just pressure washed the engine compartment and after leaving the car wash noticed what seems to be running out of fuel. It is cutting in and out. I drove about 10 miles to see if fit would clear itself out to no avail. I also checked lines to look for leaks and found nothing but 1 and 5 injectors seeping slightly. Could this be the cause? Or, maybe something else?

u may have caused a fuel line to tair or become moved at an odd angle which could be causing an air leak

My guess would be your seeping injectors may need new fuel lines, and or a plug on #5. Could be letting air in, or not enough fuel in. The washing may have been enough to cause problems. In the future, to degrease engine, I use Purple Power and my water hose, normal household pressure. As you have found out, pressure washing may not be the way to go.

if you are talking about those loop lines, they are all new within the past week. no kinks or strange bends in the lines.

Yes, I was referring to those lines. Dislodged, perhaps? Otherwise, I don't see how the wash could have possibly loosened up anything thing else. Seepage at injectors, hard to diagnose, I know from personel experience, could be from a few spots, said lines, or loose hard line nuts, or improperly installed heat shield. Could water have gotten into the air filter?

That is possible now that you mention it. never thought of that, and I did not put a rag in the intake tube

The poster that mentioned the intake is probably right. The air cleaner paper element might have got soaked. Engine would starve for air then I think. You would not actually require water down into the manifold.
Earlier I had some problem with what could possibly cause your symptom. Really I was at a total loss.
Just remove filter and if wet dry it out. No harm done if thats it. You could even let it air dry for a day. Use your car without a filter if driving in pretty clean conditions for a day.
I would not heat the filter up to dry it as the paper binding adhesives may fail. Best suggestion so far.
