If you dont want to be a part of a highly educated group that has an emotional attachment to these old cars, why are you here? The lovecraft forum is a great place for one-sided discussion with no conflict... at least the conflict wont be there for long before it is deleted by the admin.
As far as my own LoveCrap conversion, I was pretty shocked to find out that my original conversion is just a Davco filter. I mean that guy is just installing a filter that he buys. It is being marketed for VO by Davco and he acts like he invented this great system... He is just an installer, and not that good of one. I am in the process of some test on the actual temp the lovecraft system gets the oil... It is to early to talk about... but it is not good...

It will be good info to post your test results here and the other MB forums...and see how long it lasts on the LC site. At least here and other sites it won't be deleted.

I wonder since I added the Stanadyne FS100 fuel/water separator if I can sell that as "converted to run B100"?

To your question about my knowledge, what I know about S/WVO conversions has little to do with me pointing out juvenile actions.

Carl
IT IS AN INTERNET WEB SITE!

Good Lord man, there is absolutely nothing ballsy, gutsy, courageous, or noble about posting anything, anywhere, anytime, on ANY internet site from the safety of sitting behind a PC keyboard.

They can only void the warranty if they say the aftermarket item was the cause of the problem. That's how people can get away with installing aftermarket intakes/exhausts and chip tuners.

In the case of BioDiesel, if they catch more than 5% (20% for Cummins) in the tank, they can void on breach of contract for not following warranty requirements. SVO/WVO can void it at any concentration for the same reason.

The VW dealership we use will void the warranty if they find chips, anything more than B5, etc. That is why you are always better of waiting until the warranty expires, or keeping the OEM stuff and reinstalling before taking it in.

A friend of mine had his new POS Ford Powerjoke chipped. About a week later, the ECM fried. Ford denied the warranty claiming it was the chip that caused it. The chip people fixed it, but they found the wire traces before the chip to be bad, the chip was not harmed. Was it a bad OEM chip socket? The chip people say it was. I do not think we will ever know the truth.

It's always easier to say the aftermarket stuff caused the problem than to prove it. In some cases aftermarket is better than OEM.

Flag it down by going to the link and click on prohibited because Dieselsecret is a scam. And well lovecraft and veggiewheels are unproven systems. That car has been posted repeatedly anyways. It will take the posting down but you need different IP's so that one person can't take the post down.

Has anyone seen these site....

http://www.greenbenz.com/gbforums

They do not address coking, fuel temperatures, or cold IP wear.

Apparently single tank designs are superior to "outdated 2 tank designs...."

Does this sound familiar?

We install an ingenious filter housing which acts as a heater/separator/filter, and replaces the car's original fuel filtering system. The filter housing is fluid heated by tapping into the coolant system of the car, and using heat that would otherwise be wasted to keep the fuel at a viscose temperature. The filter housing then separates any water, or contaminants out of the fuel, and in the final stage, filters it down to 2 microns before sending it to your injector pump.

Another incredible feature of this filter housing is that it has a clear plexiglass dome head, which allows you to see through it. You can actually see the fuel, and condition of the filter, so there is no guessing game on when to change it. This filter housing replaces your original 'screw-on' fuel filter, and your clear inline fuel filter, so you never have to replace them again, simply keep an eye on the new filter housing's filter.

This filter housing simply bypasses, and replaces the Mercedes' original filtration system, nothing more, everything else is left original, and you are still using the car's own fuel tank. Only now your system can safely handle vegetable oil, and diesel/biodiesel at any ratio, or pure!
It's from http://www.greenbenz.com/info.html
