this topic is amazing. when I first got to the US a year ago I actually was interested in his 'convenient one tank conversion'. this forum saved me and my beautiful 300SD. thanks for that. then I too thought it was funny to tease the man some with sharp questions about his system. he got back to me a couple of times, mainly saying it's all jealousy of 'the others doing veggie conversions'.
I'm quite worried though, because really, a lot of people fall for his slick setup. I't's terrible. if you are a newbie, his system really seems like the way to go. and then there's the happy customers that confirm that too. we all know that the unhappy ones have been carefully deleted, but newbie vegoil adept doesn't.
isn't there any legal way to stop this 5 cylinder engine- abuse???

That motto seems to be fooling an alarming amount of people.

I went to one of their former facilities near the LA river and it was a nasty cesspit with 55 gallon drums of rancid oil sitting around and grease and motor oil everywhere run by two enormous guys who didn't speak a word of English.

I wonder if the health department or OSHA would stir up the pot.

Anyone have Mandy Moore's contact info?

I don't think there is anything legal you can do. Honestly, part of me feels bad because I haven't done a TON of research in defense of him, and true, he may have a ton of cars on the road, but I think only real time will tell whether or not his system is a scam. I'm the first one to put my foot in my mouth if I'm wrong, but honestly - I just feel for these cars.

These young hipsters in Los Angeles don't know the first thing about these German marvels they're driving, and when their lives (the cars) are cut short due to gummed up IPs and injector coating, what will happen then?

If VO is safe to run in a single tank conversion, then hey - my bad. However, it looks like the cold-temp viscosity of VO is thick, and sure, over 1000 of these MBs are on the road, "running fine" but only 50,000 miles or more and significant time will tell if these cars are meeting untimely dooms. It reminds me of the 350 rod bender; a victimized car may run fine with rods that are slowly but surely ovaling, and some cars will run fine for a long time without incident.

And don't worry, friends - if his system is a hack, word will get out. Unfortunately, it may be too late for these cars.

Dude, I've already done that twice

Having an email aliasing system is amazing for creating multiple logins

He deleted a post I had on there that was perfectly acceptable (not inflammatory/spam/etc...). He's a punk a$$ b!tch.

Send me an email too, I think I need it more because my post count is lower.

this is truly outrageous. I can't really imagine so many people are being fooled, considering all the information about the wvo-topic available. in a way you just get what you pay for. no research- you mess up your car. in a way it's kinda fair, if you want to be a greenie hippie using your favourite restaurant's oil without researching the actual technical part of all that and falling for some smart guy playing the game like a true con artist, too bad. who is really to blame? there's always 2 sides to a story.
not that I'm not against messing up beautiful engines in any way of course. but technically retarded people usually get what they deserve. a Honda

so we should just shut up and reap the rewards all those future parts cars have to offer? In case you haven't noticed, they are not making anymore w123's

I just think the fact that someone has to personally moderate and thus delete questionable posts speaks for itself.

True, while some comments were kinda base and low in their material, whole threads do not need to be deleted, and also - "attacks, slander, or spam" is highly subjective.

Honestly - I think that if these people want to convert their cars and not do research, that's their deal, and potentially, their mistake. Unfortunately, the cars will suffer. And to be quite honest, if this guy has the shady business ethic that he himself admits (tax evasion and basically giving a huge F-you to his creditors) then it's only a matter of time before the government gets involved.
