That would be me, PetroD. I made about 22 posts criticizing the "conversion" and pointing out major flaws.

I have my ways around his wimpy "block".

Re:Tell me please - 2007/02/28 19:33 "EARTHFIRST" has made a day out of bashing this forum, and I've deleted over 30 of his posts, under multiple identities. I'm sorry if I made a mistake and deleted a legitimate post, it was not intentional. Anything antagonistic will be deleted.
Now, did you really have 30 posts deleted or is there more unsatisfied customers that he wants the public to know?

Re:Tell me please - 2007/02/28 19:49 That's fine Brian, your forum do what you must, but I am still looking at conversions and I think the question that started this thread needs to be answered. reply | quote |

Re:Tell me please - 2007/02/28 19:53 People have different opinions on which is better, 1 or 2 tank systems. We believe ours to be best, others disagree. Ours is affordable, reliable, and easy to maintain. Over 1000 conversions on the road over the past 5 years speaks volumes over forum debates. reply | quote jackgrebe

Re:Tell me please - 2007/02/28 20:00 What is it about your system that you feel is better. there are other 1 tank systems out there too, I'm not just talking about your system vs a 2 tank. I currently have 2 w123's one is my daily, the other I would like to convert before selling. Nuts and bolts here Brian, why should I choose your system. reply | quote | edit Brian

Re:Tell me please - 2007/02/28 20:03 Just the sheer number of them on the road says they are working, and working well. In addition, we're affordable, and stand behind our work...always have, and always will.
Re:Tell me please - 2007/02/28 20:06 I don't follow the crowd, I make my own

At least Brian is communicating a little more on the board, I guess he realized that needed to deal with the comments by replying rather than deleting.

Not that he's actually answering any questions, but he's talking.

I personally like the "there's a lot of converted cars on the road, so Lovecraft is better than a 2-tank system" argument.

Earthfirst isn't me, but that comment was directed to me because I asked why he deleted my post.

Anyway, read this (I'm now username peaceout):

an engine will not start on cold diesel, or VO. Most diesel engines use glow plugs for the initial start. What works for diesel, works for VO. Since VO is not as combustable, and thicker, we us a filter that allows the thicker fuel to flow easier, and add a booster pump to help pump it from the fuel tank.
Injectors are not hurt by a few seconds of cold VO, nor is the IP. If these were problems, we would know by now...like I said, 5 years and 1000+ conversions.
Diesels need glow plugs to start?? Nooooooo!!!

That board reads like a parrot, 1000 cars, 1000 cars, 1000 cars.

I am waiting for there are XXX million smokers in the world therefore cigarettes are safe!

If I had the time and money I would put the kit on an engine on the way out and show what it does. There is no way the car will start when the fuel is gelled up in 10F weather.

Its 44f Now and im about to drive home. The lovecraft conversion starts up pretty quick at these temps, but I will plug in the block heater anyway. I have lots of supplemental electrical heat on its way...So a busy weekend ahead...
