Why am I not Surpised

The lovecraft forum is being censered. I went there last nite to check out their forum and found quite a few complaints about their system and some other, rather pointed questions, that LC would not like to answer.
Today they are gone.....POOF.....no trace whatsoever.......hmmm.
any and all thread and or comments contrary to LC simply disappeared.

1990 F350 MUST SELL TODAY!! - 2007/02/20 13:26 MUST SELL**1990 F-350 Diesel and Veggie Oil NEEDS WORK to start!
This truck needs a new fuel injector - aprox. $800 w/labor - and a new water pump, also aprox. $500 w/ labor. It does not start right now; once it gets a new fuel injector it will start. Right now the engine cranks when you turn the key but does not turn over. We've been trying hard to fix it up and get it going but we've just run out of money. Our mechanic said that with a little investment this could be a great truck for another 10-15 years. If you need any Ford or vegetable-oil conversion parts, they're in here. Has been converted to run on vegetable oil by Lovecraft – it can run on diesel, biodiesel, new or waste vegetable oil, or any combination thereof. The truck itself has 202,000 miles, but the engine has far less. Engine and transmission are strong. It has 2 new batteries, new front brake pads, a new starter motor, new glow plugs and glow plug relay, and new steering column. It comes with a 55-gallon drum for storing vegetable oil and a Norther Industries diesel fuel pump for collecting oil ($160 new). And it runs on waste vegetable oil, so fuel can be free!! This is a super extended cab, and the interior is clean, with bench seats front and back. Seat belts for six. 5-speed manual transmission; radio/tape works intermittently. Comes ready to tow with a hitch and an outlet for trailer brake lights; controls for a trailer with brakes are in the cab. Custom grill guard and gun rack! The truck had a custom rack which we replaced with a camper shell (the camper shell isn’t really the right size for the truck). You can have your choice of rack or shell! I can email you images; they wouldn't fit in here.
email monpetitcarousel@hotmail.com or call 415-860-9363 Sara
or 626-755-5178 Emilie for info
or respond in this forum!

set up a user account on the L.C. forum, ask a similar question, late at night, and see if its there in the morning. Lets call this guy out. I am driving a car with his conversion and I would like to see some accountability on his part.

nope, I created my first login today. I'm on my second one now. Something about the username "lovecraftisbad" they must not have liked. My new username is "ilovetheearth", they should love that.

Is This Warranty? - 2007/02/28 13:02 I bought a 300d with a lovecraft conversion. The guy said it had been installed for about a year. The car died on a short trip. Now my mechanic says the Injector pump is ruined from the excess load of the oil(?) He also said the injectors were really clogged up... Is this stuff covered under any warranty? The mechanic said it seamed like the car might be destroyed from this. reply | quote | edit Boardwalk :: Forum List http://www.lovecraftbiofuels.com/ima...ages/arrow.png Vegetable Oil Conversion Questions http://www.lovecraftbiofuels.com/ima...ages/arrow.png General Questions

Re:Is This Warranty? - 2007/02/28 13:09 Our warranty is on the components of the conversion.
We've never lost an injector pump due to oil viscosity, I think your mechanic is mistaken. In addition, we add a booster pump, that relieves pressure to the fuel sytem. We did lose one IP due to a customer having water in his fuel, this is a more likely scenario.
Does the car run? I'd really like to see it, if it could be driven into our shop.

JackG 02-28-2007 04:53 PM

He still hasn't answered my question from last nite though

Re:will this work for me? - 2007/02/28 12:50 Cold weather and your Lovecraft conversion.
Assuming that you are using Soybean oil (most people are) the gel point is around 12 degrees farenheit. Your vehicle should have no problems until the mid teens. If you have starting issues before that point, you want to make sure your glow plugs are working, and the right type (we have them available at Lovecraft) 90% of the time, it is burnt out glow plugs that will cause starting issues. 10% of the time it is either your glow plug relay, valves out of adjustment (adjust your valves every 2 years) a clogged fuel filter, or your battery. Sometimes a battery that checks good, and turns over your starter just fine, can be just weak enough to not allow your glow plugs to hit the right temperature for starting. Try using different viscosities of motor oil...thicker oil, or Lucas oil stabilizer will help low compression (worn out) motors, while thinner motor oil allows the engine to turn over easier. Different engines will respond to different motor oils, and it is worth trying if you have starting problems, as well as excess smoke.

For extreme cold weather, take the same precautions that you would running regular diesel. This includes using a block heater and/or garaging at night, anti-gel agents, kerosene additives, etc. You can still run regular diesel, Biodiesel, and/or blends if you have concerns. Mercedes suggests a gallon or two of unleaded fuel to a tank of diesel in extreme cold...we have tried this with vegetable oil, with great results, but, have not done thorough testing. (running straight unleaded fuel alone will destroy your diesel engine)

There must be something we can do. However, in the meantime, when all of these cars start dying prematurely, mechanics will tell people that their gummed up injectors, overworked IPs, and polymerized engine internals were caused by one thing.

If anything, word will get around fast enough.

Fret not.

Save those IP pumps you thought you would never need......They're gonna be worth a small fortune:D
