Filters in Portland?!
For all you dieselites in the Portland area...
Any recommended place to get fuel filters (or any general maintenace parts like oil filter, etc.) in Portland. I'm going to be running biodiesel and want to prepare myself for a clogged filter. Thanks. |

I use NAPA filters. Sequential biofuels seems to have a good product around here.

I've gotten some stuff from NAPA because they are close, but they only had the full-flow oil filter.
Of late, I've been getting most of my consumables from MercedesShop. If I order bright and early in the morning, stuff from Phil has generally arrived next day or day after, which is plenty fast enough for me. BTW, question's been asked.. Are we going to see you at the upcoming Portland 3/18 get together?

Yes, I should add that I get my oil filters from the buy parts link at the top of the page.
ewmROVER - your car is becoming very popular.

Popular... HA! And here I thought I was just going to get some old, rattley mercedes! I guess I didn't know what I was getting into!
I have to thank everyone - you've made me feel great about the purchase... and this board is already proving to be an amazing source. Man-oh-man, I guess at this point I'll try to make it out to the get-together. Thanks about the filters. |
