Fuel Filter?
I have a 1995 E300 Diesel and for the first time have expereinced an issue where the car will start on the first try and if it stalls from lack of fuel (I try not to step on the gas and rev a cold engine) it is very hard to start the car. Even if I have driven the car for 30 minutes and turn off the engine, it will start of up the firt try, but if it stalls its very hard to get started. I have to press abd hold the pedal to the floor to get it start. It takes alot of cranking. My car has always started with no issues since day 1. The car will run perfectly once started, no stalls or hickups while driving.
Any ideas? thanks |

all the filters would be a good place to start, u say it will satll after sitting? This could be an indication of air getting into the system, it sound like when u sit air gets into a fuel line or filter, i would look over everything real well.

The seals on the fuel filter and lines on that model car have a habit of shrinking/cracking and allowing air bubbles into the system. I know there's a very informative thread here somewhere with info on what you need to replace, o-rings and lines and such. I don't have that model car so I didn't pay that much attention. I'm sure someone can chime in that knows what you need.
