I'm bored out of my gourd

Just had knee surgery yesterday, snow on the ground, can't drive for a week. Wife yells at me every time I go out into the garage to play with the mbzs. She doesn't realize that I'm just sitting in them, maybe starting them once in a while . After about 20 min. she comes out and catches me under the hood or under the car . Doesn't she realize that I need my fix???? I have to go , I think I'll spend a little time with her before I sneak back out to the garage. Thank god for this forum

I hope you get better soon. I wore my knees out as a young guy too. Between 13 years behind the plate catching a baseball from the age of 9 to 22 and then about five years racing motocross, there's not much left of them. I have bird legs to begin with, so they saw some stress.

They aren't too bad right now, but I know the knee surgery is inevitable unless I get cancer or something first keeping me from reaching a ripe age.

Take care of yourself. Isn't there something you could do for your cars that would be bench work?

I think it is universally true that women in general, and wives in particular, will never understand. The only exception to this may be the only child of a man who loved to tinker on cars, and has now gone to that great garage in the sky. These woman tend to take a rose colored glasses view of their hubands need to self-mutilate and perpetually black fingernails. For the men out there still single, if you are lucky enough to find one of these girls, you hit a triple, but if her dad loved diesels, you just got a grandslam.

Have someone pick you up a Revelle model of a 300 D and spend some time gluing it together - good therapy!

I resoldered the 2 cruise amps on the first day. Now thats therapy. I'm hoping she goes shopping soon so I can put at least one back in and go for a ride. Park the car in the exact same place and make it look like I never went out.

The lovecraft site is pure torture. How can a glow plug dash light be burned out if it still works.

Why, yes it is!

I can't get straight answers either. If I get blocked, I'll just make a new sign on as well. So far I have been polite, but have reduced a karma for poor tap dancing.

I did answer one about GP's, and I did not catch the dash light worked. Work gets in the way of forums! Good catch. I re-read and took out the burned bulb...

I love retx's questions. Good for nailing things down!

someone added a third brake light to my 83 300D. from what i've read the CC amplifier shares current with the brake light system..thus burning out the CC amp. looks like the MOSFETs are burned out......i could get em on digikey possibly, but the numbers are all worn off as they used some sort of thermal glue........anyone know where to get a schematic of the CC amp??

thanx!!
