Anyone have a collection of older star magazines?

I was told that years ago there was an article in a star magazine on how to change over from climate control to the manual controls like on the 240. I would love to see that article to see whats involved and if its worth considering.

star article

It looks like the search only went back to 1989, must be before that. The person who told me about the article has been in the mb parts buisness for at least thirty years but couldnt remember what issue the article was in.

I took the Star for a long time also and do not remember such an article.

To change over to manual climate control, however, you don't need an article, you need a donor car. If I were doing it I would highly prefer to donor car to be within easy walking distance of the recipient while I was doing the transplant.

Good luck,

Th search was for all magazines in the MBCA list and the list goes back to Jan/Feb 1983. The magazine started Jan 1957.

Dave

If you want to see pictures of the differences. Look here.

The red car is a 82 300TD. The maroon car is a 83 240D. As Larry has posted you need a donor car.
