If you get here before the next weekend is up, you can make it to the Strawberry fest. It will be on your way from Orlando to St. Pete.

Oh, and I want to apologize up front for all the idiot drivers.

Have Fun!!

i found this not to be true. I was in a van once with 8 other people the driver was hammered, i mean TOTALY wasted (of course there were 3 of us that were of leagal age to drive but not to drink (i can't remember but i think we were drinking too )). we got pulled over and they let us off. this was of course in Kissimmee (sp?) which is a very touristy area and the tourists probably pay their salary.

Well, we set out today at around 6:40am from Lansing, MI...we stopped for lunch somewhere in Kentucky....then at the Tennessee and Georgia welcome centers....and then onward through Atlanta, and we stopped in Stockbridge, GA for the night at around 7:05pm So we covered 808 miles today, was predicted to take 12.6 hours, but only took about 10.5....because the average speed was about 78-80mph..... Everyone was going that fast!

Tomorrow we have another 406 miles to go then we'll be there.

Car performed great.....diesel prices fell as we went south, which was cool. Got it for 2.39 in Tennessee, waaay less than the 2.75 in Michigan and Ohio. I got an average of 23.2mpg on the first fill-up and 23.8mpg on the second. After 203 miles since the last fill-up its still at nearly 3/4 tank!

Florida here we come!!!

The SD is an unstoppable force!

You got pretty good gas mileage, but I'm surprised it didn't do better.

I drove to Las Vegas earlier in the week, which was about exactly 500 miles round trip.

In my E430, I got 26 mpg going there, and about 22 mpg going home, for an average of 24 mpg.

I had my cruise control pegged at 80 mph both ways. I was sure I'd get the same fuel economy coming home, but it was windy as hell coming home with some rain, which hurt my gas consumption.

It just doesn't seem right that a 275 hp V8 can get better gas mileage than a 3.0 liter diesel.

You can be glad you're not home in Grand Rapids right now... They're gonna get 2-4 inches tonight according to News8.......

You think you were flying at 75-80? When my folks and us went to florida the first time, we took our 1/2 ton chevy pickup with a 305 v-8 Gasser engine and did 85 through Atlanta! We were driving the slowest of anybody, the semi's were flying by us! We got 22 mpg on that tankful!

Hope you two have fun!

Nice, that looks a lot warmer than MI.

I was in MI last week (too much snow), now I'm in TX.
