I marked down the date on the calendar and took off the day in advance for a mercedes meet here in Texas.Beginning some car prep, I started an inventory of items that I had been neglecting on my 300d .I scratch a list out and ran it down in my head as I drove to pickup parts for my first project,a simple oil change and engine degreasing .Unpacking some of my junkyard gems I kept from various other projects I was set to put her in prime shape for the meet.Time came for the meet and I had completed maybe half of said projects but was satisfied with the outcome.The drive to the event was maybe 2 hrs away and packed a cooler for the ride out.I joined a small caravan of MB owners to the event and was noticed by all who powered down the fastlane . Our arrival to the event made the trip a worth while bonus, examples of mb diesels that were sprawled across Randys prairie ,it was a beautiful thing as you pulled off the main farm road and approached a line of well kept MBs .

The aftermath can be good, too. Jarrett had his SD over yesterday for oil/filter, air filter and both fuel filters. I think he got tired of hearing folks ask him how old those fuel filters were!

Now he is going to order odometer gears!
