lower ball joints

I replaced the lower front ball joint on 92 300D 2.5. I'm having trouble putting the spring back in. What is the trick?

tried spring compressor but srew bars hit fender well

are you using the proper mercedes benz spring compressor

Use a torch and cut a few inches off the spring.

no no no heat is bad for springs.. use a cut off wheel
