Diesel Fuel Color

I filled up my car the other day and noticed the diesel was a light green. I thought it was to be clear like water. Am I missing something?

The new ULSD (Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel) is light green and more watery (lower viscosity) than the old stuff, hasn't affected mine yet AFAIK.

My cars had clear, blue, green, red (don't tell anyone!), and now yellow biodiesel... And I've only had it less than a year.

Depends on the light you are viewing it, how thick the stream is and what type it is. It can be clear, green, blue, purple or yellow.

yellow and green is what ive seen on good quality diesel. The bunk diesel my mom ran in her TDI was dark blue, it caused the car to smoke alot and run like crap.
