-Yes, I "store" it all winter. Sorta. It lives in a garage but I still take it out on the odd nice days during winter. Any day above freezing and the warm water hose comes out and she gets any salt that may have got on her washed away. It is never driven in snow, recently plowed roads, etc. Dry winter roads are okay but still bother me. Yes, I'm a fanatic.

-The paint is far from perfect. 23years of parking lot rash, etc. It looks good from that distance but I wish it was better.

-The wheels came from a board member and a buddy blasted and shot them for $100.00 Came out pretty well, IMHO.

-Boardmonger, those are some pretty nice pics! Gotta love to see MB's lined up and shining like that.

C'mon people! Post some spring pics! I've been inside wrenching on the damned thing all winter. Show it off, Lets see them cars!

I need a wagon, is it under 2k?

Highlights of cleaning:

I admit that last one was in the fall. Give me a few days and the euro will be sparkling.

Here is my friend's 240 in SF:

On a sunny day in Seattle

Here's my 300D after a wash, wax, and tire cleaning. I used 303 Aerospace Protectant on the bumpers and tires. I was really pleased witht the results. I used Meg's ColorX since the paint has some oxidation. The following day I wiped it down with Meg's quick detail and waxed with NXT. Got a much better shine the second time, but didn't take pics before today's rain. It really could use some claying, but I probably will not get around to that for a while.

Looks nice. Did you install secondary door/dent strips?

Door strips

The second set of door strips are from the original owner. They make waxing a bit more difficult, but have certainly keept away some parking lot rash.

Washed the 240D today, almost have everything back on. Finished the trunk and the system, now just need to finish the door panels and the dash. More like a spring finishing than cleaning.
