I too have some reservations about these manuals. Like many publications they are OK, but not perfect. I bought one on seat repair as well, which pretended to be both for 123's and 126's and it totally glossed over many of the detail differences for the 126 chassis.

And I agree that his lack of support can be annoying.

I have learned to read up on 2 or 3 sources before tackling any new job on the car. Each writer assumes different things are obvious and you learn how to tackle the entire job.
