Fuel Filter Question

Does the 1990 350SDL have just a primary filter or does it also have a secondary filter. If it does have both what filter is the one that is on the top of the engine it looks like a oil filter you would have in a gasoline engine car.

I believe that it will have both.

The primary filter is a small clear plastic filter that is before the fuel pump. It will catch any boulders that happen to come along.

The secondary filter is the one on the top of the engine and appears similar to an oil filter. It will do the principal job of filtering down to 30 microns or better.
