Is this a good price
1991 350sdl
200,000 miles 1 small rust spot by rear winsheild 1 worn spot on driver seat small imperfections(it says a headlight is out, but its they all work,ect) $4600, should I try for 4100, or is this fair...I dont want to rip anybody off. |

The best deal is to avoid 350sdl's completely.

Better alternatives exist
This is the infamous "rod bender" diesel engine, there's more or less about a 50% chance that this example could be a bad one. Do a search for "rod bender". It COULD be all right, but I wouldn't chance it.
It's also way overpriced for what it is. Perhaps you'd be better served by looking at the earlier models, like an 84-87 SD or SDL sedan, without the trap oxider problem, and rust free. That's just my opinion. Although it is written for gas powered W126 coupes, the buyers guide at www.mbcoupes.com is worth a look, for the tips.

For a 350SDL yeah thats a good price.
For that same money you can get a much lower mileage 420SEL of similer year, buy the 420.
