84 300SD garrett Turbo shaft bearings
Hello all,
Searched the site and read many forum post on the subject with much much knowledge shared. I have not however found a post pointing to a place where to get the little blessed shaft bearings. Hosts for this forum were my first choice on where to buy, but they do not carry them at present. Can someone please direct me as to a source for same? Thanks in advance. Adriano P.S. Turbo involved with almost frozen bearings are: 84 300SD (believe to be Garrett) and 93 300D (unknown) also with almost locked bearings.

This thread mentions a couple of places:Turbo Rebuild I've read several posts that reported M&M as a very good source.

Problem is that when the bearings are gone enough to notice, the seals are eaten up and that almost always means the housing is bad, so new bearings are no better than what you have.
Buy a cartridge (bearings, housing, shaft and wheels), it bolts onto your intake and exhaust housings and you have a new turbo. By far the best solution, as there is only a very slight chance new bearings will do anything for you -- can you balance the turbo? Peter
