This is true, as the one in our 300D spent its life nestled in the deck lid, but even in that position, I always felt safer in the early morning digging my shotgun or fishing gear out of the trunk when I was parked along some dark country road. It was up there above me warning every approaching car. Don

Scored one from a 1980 at the pull-a-part the other day. Probably will keep it since it is the heavy one. Shown here is the one I'll probably sell on line. Both are in real nice condition (advantage to spending your life in the trunk). The one in the pic is mounted with two small tyraps. This works OK but I got a clip with a broken tab that I'll mount with some type of mod. (maybe a small screw). Any ideas appreciated.

I have one but never knew where it was supposed to be mounted. I saw the owner of a yard today & he has some 126 cars that I'm going to go see tomorrow. Gotta make my list today and pack tools. Too bad my truck is MIA getting paint. I'll borrow a friend's van if I get some seats.

This thread may be old, but it's not obsolete.

Looking to add the triangle to my 2012 S350. The w211 triangles are available for sale online, easy enough to find. But I cannot locate the part or even the part number for the plastic bracket, and bracket mounting screw. All my parts sources are for US-spec cars and do not include these parts.

See the attached photo. My trunk liner has the molded-in triangle position already, so presumably all I'd need is the bracket, screw, and the triangle itself.

Can someone outside the US kindly look up the part numbers for the w221 bracket and screw?

Many thanks in advance.

I came into my first triangle when I bought my 300D in late 2019. It was in a plastic/canvas tight fitting bag, the whole thing stank like hell. I used it on my first trip, I had some nailbiting experiences, turns out it was mostly all due to rust in the filters and tank, plus a broken line to the Alda didn’t help. Each time I stopped, I’d set it up, put it down the road about 30 feet, worked great.

Never thought to mount it on the underside of the trunk.

Looks like an internet version of the EPC, thanks for sharing.

I was able to find the warning triangle there under accessories, but not the mounting bracket. Under "rear lid" they even listed optional trunk lid parts like the umbrella holder... but no bracket for the triangle.

The S is at the dealer today for COMAND and Nav updates, and some misc. maintenance. I guess I can try asking them, but I doubt they'll know since the triangle is a non-US part.
