Look what I got!!!!!!

Check out my newest Benz. It is an 85 190d 2.2, 5 speed with 115,000 actual miles on it. The paint is good, has a new dash cover, and the interior is excellent! On my first tank of mixed driving, I got 37 mpg. I am the 3rd owner. The second owner had it for a year and did quite a bit of minor and not so minor tweaking. Everything works except the little outdoor temperature indicator. A/C is still R12 and is C O L D!!! I had searched Craigslist, Autotrader, Fleabay, and area newspapers for a year for a good 5 speed 190d and had finally given up when Yellowbenz told me about this one. Here are a few pics.

Nice find, and I admire your determination to find a good car, and be patient for so long. I find one, and jump on it, and then see a better one week later, and have to either buy it also, or kick myself for not having been patient enough, and waited for the good one to come along... I do this all the time, and as a result, have a huge collection of Mercedes, and other cars now. I never need to worry about the money, so i just buy them, and don't part with any---Unfortunately. I should get rid of some of the cars I've long lost interest in, but can't bring myself to it for soem reason. All nice cars, all work well, but running out of room.
I did, recently manage to force myself to sell my perfect 31 thousand mile 89 300CE. However, it was only to make room for another 81 300CD. So, where did that get me? I'd rather have the 81 300CD though..

Good stuff!

Peachy find...and nary a dimple on the body to boot! That'll be a good ride.
I'm impressed about how well the interiors seem to hold up on that year model. What's your opinion? Do you know if Ma Benz did something different like perhaps they reformulated the MBTex? Better UV resistant glass?Something...

Motor on lil diesel

Nice looking little MB, and I really like the headlight upgrade. Makes a huge difference!
That is about the perfect type of car. Nice.....
