As seen on Ebay, claims 1800k on a 1967!

Take a look

Claiming 1800 miles on a 1967 with a 5 digit OD, sure! Nice well worn interior

yeah more like 201,809 miles, or even 301,809...I agree that the interior looks worn. While it may not have 1800 miles on it, it is still in pretty darn good shape for being 40 years old!

If anyone can tell me what the first 3 letters of the VIN would be, I can run a carfax.

No way a car fax would work on a '67.

On the side of the filter that I put on my car, it says to lubricate the seal and o-rings with "gas oil."

The VIN you supplied, "WDB11011010314806", is invalid. Please check the number for accuracy and try again below.

- The letters "I", "O", and "Q" never appear in a VIN.
- The VIN must be exactly 17 characters in length.
- The CARFAX database contains information for cars manufactured from 1981 through the present.

Watching through heavy lenses.....the books and records would be worth a look. I hope it got exercise at least, if the total miles were only 1800. Still has the 1967 Texas plates on the car, maybe it was driven hard for a year and then put away wet. Who knows?

Just for kicks:

The serial number of this car is: 110.110.10.314806

The first three digits indicate that it's a W110 body.

The secand three digits indicate that it is a 200D model.

The seventh and eighth digits show that the car is left hand drive (1) and a standard transmission (0).

The last six digits are the sequential production number.

This car has well worn clutch and brake pedal rubber. Anyone else notice that the gorilla knob has been replaced with a parking brake release knob from a '70s 450SL? The rear bumper is made from two different bumpers, the chrome is different on the left and right sides. The side defroster vents in the dash are missing. The shifter looks like it's worn out, and needs new bushings. It only has 1800 miles? Another fleabay pos car.

That only applies to modern cars. My old SAABs had somewhat shorter numbers. IIRC, one was 99762007832. Significantly shorter than 17 characters.

All of that should have been in quotes. It was from Carfax. I would not have posted it if there was an actual result (due to the no Carfax request bit), but since it said nothing I thought it would be OK to share.

I believe it wasn't until 1980 that all US market cars followed a VIN number standard.

Sorry, Jadavis. I should have realized that this was a response from Carfax and not from yourself.

Their information is somewhat useful, but anyone who depends on them probably gets what they deserve. I certainly don't give their reports enough credit to pay for them.
