Turbo seal rings

I need to remove my air cleaner to replace the oil/air separator o-rings and want to replace the turbo seal rings at each end of the "u" shaped tube.

It looks to me like one ring is a larger diameter than the other. I could only find one on Fastlane, part number B4018-81638. Does any one know if they are in fact different sized or the same?

Thanks!

IIRC They are different sizes - I had to call phil for the other one.

What o-rings are there to replace in the oil separator?? (other than the one to the drain?)

There are two o-rings, one at the air cleaner, the other at the block.

Thanks for the info on the seal rings!

Oh, ok. I didt know if there was one internal to the oil separator that I am missing. Mine seems to leak oil into the air cleaner a bit. I think it leaks around the top lid of the oil separator. I guess some oil being sucked into the turbo is unavoidable.

I have the same probelm, and I was told to get the updated breather line that runs from the valve cover to the air cleaner.

BTW, Turbo seal ring part numbers are:

B4018-81638 and A8402-81379. Thanks to Phil and Fastlane for pointing me in the right direction!

Could missing or bad turbo u-tube seals give off an exhaust smell? I get an exhaust smell when a window is down or the sunroof is open.

I've had the exhaust system checked at two muffler shops and both said I did not have an exhaust leak anywhere.

No I dont think it could. It could give you the smell of oil since missing turbo rings could let out blowby vapor. But, even that would probably not happen since air is being sucked in at that point.

Replace your turbo seal rings! Otherwise, unfiltered air is going into your engine which can seriously damage it over time.

That large trubo seal going to the air cleaner is a whole lot of fun to get on. It took me at least an hour before I finally got it to seat just right.
