what is the value of a clean 300D Turbo

I found one local. Not sure what year. It is a 300D turbo, 4 door, leather. Good white paint job. Rust free, body in great shape. Leather in good shape. Interior pretty good, no tears, only bad floormats, a little discolor in some plastic. Palamino interior??? Leather in pictures looks more cream colored. 185,000 miles. Asking $2200..

depending on how it starts cold, and idles. blowby and so on. it sounds like a fair deal.

Seems I've seen every sort of price for these things. I bought my first MB about 6 months ago ---sounds like a very similar car ---for $3k. Though I have to tinker with small things, I consider it a good purchase.

Sounds like a fair deal...i love my 82 300D turbo. This is my first Mercedes and I am definitely sold on the W123 diesels. My buddy has a 1985 with 424,000 miles on the clock. It's old and tired so he started using it for a parts car. Kind of sad but that little car sure had a life i'm sure. You can never be too sure of the miles on these cars. It seems like most of the ones I see have odometer issues. When I bought mine the guy assured me the mileage was correct. A week later I noticed it would stop counting when it was about to go from 99 to the 100 of whatever number. Then it would start working again then when it got to the next 99, same thing and so on. I fixed it with DIY stuff i found on this forum. But i'm sure you already know those issues with these cars. But if it's in good shape and you're in the market for another Benz offer him $1700 and go from there. Or just buy it for $2200.

No tears in the seats? Are you sure they're leather?

Very rare is the leather interior. MB tex looks like leather and fools many who have never seen MB-tex.

Pretty sure. I have palamino MB tex, and this looks different... doesn't have the pleats if I remember right. I have the pictures on my work computer.
