on car shippers, do your homework and be very selective. When I had a car shipped from CA to MI, I used a company out of IN that my mover recommended. Movers are a good resource since they use car shippers whenever they move households. Call a few movers in your city and ask them who they recommend.
I was very pleased with the shipper. They kept in touch with me throughout the trip and were on schedule. They were the actual company and not brokers. Not a scratch on my MB.

I actually fell into a pretty fair deal on delivery (there car is here already). A guy was driving out to Chicago to pick a car up, and brought my 300D, door to door, on a flatbed trailer at a very reasonable rate. It was a gamble, as I had no absolute proof of the guy's insurance, but I did have references from him. Worked out fine in the end, and my car was on the trailer less than 24 hours.

I'm picking it up tomorrow. 1984 300D 189K miles. Brown ext with parchment interior. This will be my first W123. At least I'll be able to fit into this one unlike my 1985 190D W201 which has the door pillar located right into my shoulder.
Let me know if you come across anymore Euro's lights. |
