Brake Fluid

Any good quality DOT3/ DOT4 LMA (Low moisture activity) fluid should be fine.

Eep.. I can't even read, I was thinking we were talking about PS fluid..

Synpower fluid here as well, though I have a can of ATE super blue sitting for next flush.

Thumbs up Valvoline Synpower

I use Valvoline Synpower (exceeds DOT 3 and DOT 4), kinda sorta a middle of the road choice...can be found quite reasonably at WallyWorld, Advance, NAPA, and most other Automotive supply sources.....

I use ATE Typ 200 and ATE Super Blue (same chemical composition as Typ 200, but blue), alternating colors when I bleed the brakes. Both are DOT 4.

On my other cars I have used those. On the MB, I have MB Fluid since I have a dealership handy and had it flushed there using their power flusher.

I believe I used the synpower in mine, mostly because I had 2 new bottles of it on the shelf at the time (for the goldwing) and it is DOT4 rated which was spec'd on the reservoir cap.

Castrol GT LMA, DOT3/DOT4

Have used it on MB's for probably twenty years and have had no problems, but I change the fluid every time I change pads. Jim

I vote for the Castrol LMA. May not be the absolute best but is most likely to be compatable with whatever is already in the system.
