Thumbs up New Motor Mounts!Feels like a new car! Thanks!

Thanks for all the help and instructions for changing motor mounts. I changed two mounts on my 80 300CD and the car runs and feels ALOT smoother. The second one(driver's side) was alot easier than the first, but mostly because I knew more what to do. The second 6mm bolt was harder to get to on the driver's side though. My transmission mount looked good. Thanks again for everybodys help, it made the job go smooth.
THANKS ALOT,
WNCMAN

I'm thinking of doing mine... What problems were you experiencing that the new motor mounts solved? Were you able to find a good low price source?

Well the main thing was vibration when idlling and taking off at lower speeds. To the point it seemed like something really wrong with the car/motor but now it really has smoothed out alot. One other thing I did but didn't mention in the original post was I loosed the injectors one at a time till air started squirting out at the 17mm nut then tightened back. This may have helped out more than I realize. I just did this because I have read where this can help out and I thought I would give it a try. I got the parts from a local MB guy for $21.00 each.

Knowing what you know now, if you were to do it over again, would you start with the driver's side first? Also, any tips for those who plan to do theirs.. thanks.

The only difference from driver's side to passenger side was driver's side the top 6mm bolt close to engine was harder to get to but the passenger side took longer because it was the first one I did. The main thing for me was getting the car jacked up and putting it on strong jack stands, giving me some peace of mind it wasn't going to fall on me. Then still I was still thinking about it some. Another member I think it was Mercury and someone else but I can't remember his name other than I think it was a young guy give me some general directions that made the difference. I know it made alot of difference in my car. Especially since the passenger side was completely collapsed, the driver's side looked good but I replaced any way.

That's exactly what I've been experiencing with mine all along...

Can you tell me where I can go and read that info (air-draining the injectors)?
So, you changed just the two motor mounts, but not the motor shock absorber, right?

Thank you so much...
