tally of issues with my "new" 85 Euro TD
 

I knew going in that the speedo was not original, it had the chrome button on it... PO was oblivious of this... right. anyway, the glove box has a nicely filled out maintenance book lots of records since 87 on it... too bad it's a 1981 maintenance book... HA. the real funny thing is the 85 book was in there too! moron.
anyway, I have to hook the coolant hoses back up and pressurize the system to see if the head gasket is really bad before I go ahead and pull it. trusting the PO at this point is not wise.
at least when he started dissasembly of the head, he did not open up the SLS system, he just unbolted the pump. all the $$$ fluid is still there!
the rust in the kick panels is worse than I thought, but still better than my 79 is. so I will begin tackling that when I get the car running.
I will add to this list as I find more about the car.

Trusting the PO is never, ever a wise thought. Unless it was your Father or Mother. And then there are those exceptions.

Or a truly fastidious person. And those people you can just tell by everything they touch.
