What is a good replacement horn?

I checked everything, starting at the steering wheel horn contact, fuse, wires right up to the horn, and of course the last thing I checked, the 2 horns, are bad. Then I couldn't get the nut off both horn because they are mounted on a metal strap and not well supported so I had to grind the them off. So, what are good replacement horns? TIA.

If you are going to replace the horns themselves, why not upgrade from the stock unit? I'd go for euro-style dual tone Hellas!

Are these louder than stock? Got a link? When I use the horn, I want to be heard.

I've got a dual airhorn setup under my hood. They are activated via "ejector seat" style push button that I brought through the center console. I like to think that I can be heard.

I'm using a Stebel Nautilus in my Lotus.

139 dB Sounds like a Ferrari horn (I think Stebel makes the OEM Ferrari/Lambo horns)

Mine aren't exactly that big (size wise) but they get the job done. Very loud. I fabbed up a bracket and mounted them on the flat part of the inner fender right behind the head light. Then I just ran the wires through the fire wall and tied the power into the power seat 12v wire. It was right there and very easy. I can take pics if someone would like to see them.

I'm wondering whats a good place to mount these things.. My car alarm siren is significantly quieter when its under the hood (mounted on a pre-drilled hole i found behind the headlight) than it normally is. Is there any place to put stuff where nothing will block the sound?

I don't have an AC condensor but I aimed mine right out through the radiator and grill. I used an existing hole.

I like to sit in the Wally World parking lot some days and honk and people. No one expects a Mercedes to have an airhorn. The 20% tinted windows help some too...
