Damn, good eyes John! I didn't notice until after you said it.

GreenMedallion, you don't want those horizontal bars cluttering the look and drastically effecting your fuel mileage so I'll take them off your hands for you. Just looking out for a fellow TDer! It's my civic duty and all.

Check your SLS fluid level ASAP and plan on changing fluid and filter for it in near future unless you have maint records showing otherwise.

Call me wierd, but I'd attack the steering first. Probably nothing wrong, but that's a crucial safety item on the car, so make sure it is nothing before ignoring it.

Next would be AC, vacuum leak, water leak and rust, in that order. The rest can wait. I'd also wait on the AC, but in LA with summer around the corner, you probably don't want to.

For the highly coveted (more than the neighbor's wife) roof rack crossbars, I suggest removing them and keeping them indoors when not in use.
It'll also cut down on wind noise.
Welcome!
John Lennon once owned a 300TD, also non-turbo.
He doesn't any more, but the one he had occasionally pops up on Ebay. It's been through the wringer.
